I’m trying to figure out if I want to buy a food mill because I’m trying to figure out if I want to make my own tomato sauce because I’m trying to figure out if it will be nice to have a fresher tomato sauce that is healthier but then I need to figure out, if, I do indeed make homemade tomato sauce am I’m going to can it or freeze it and in the long run I think shelling out a little more money for a good brand of organic or 100% natural or even Pomi brand sauce might be a time saving /money-saving task in the long run.
The thing about thinking about sauce has got me thinking about writing.
One, making sauce from scratch would help me in my procrastination from my writing world. But two, that’s what I find myself doing on a daily basis in my writing process.
I try to figure out if I want to buy into other writers’ beliefs and work systems and then I try to figure out if I want to incorporate any of that into my own system and then I need to figure out if it will make my writing fresher or more relevant but then I need to figure out if that is taking away from the essence of my own writing and if the acidic nature of someone else will ruin the whole of what I’m trying to say…
And what it comes down to is to continue to go personally organic. To continue to thrive and try to squeeze the most out of my process and words. To grow and continue to learn, but in my own way. Take lessons from those that have come before me, but not let it infect me. If anything, just let the water get to my roots and help me grow.
Oh look, you can roast tomatoes, freeze them and blend them into a sauce at a later date.
